Situated in the laid-back Sunny Garden area of Kota Kinabalu, this Chinese spot quietly draws those craving hearty, no-frills meals that feel like a comforting local ritual. The focus here is on noodle soups and small plates with generous portions—think fresh fish slices, various beef cuts in a light broth, and roast pork with crispy skin that often finds its way onto the tables alongside bowls of noodles tossed in soy. The atmosphere is casual and a bit trendy, with counter and table service available, making it a good option whether you’re dining solo or in a group.

Breakfast, brunch, and lunch crowds mingle here, many locals and visitors alike appreciating the more modest setting compared to flashier places nearby. Outdoor seating offers a relaxed vibe, though it's worth noting the spot isn't wheelchair accessible. Unexpected surprise. Was staying in the hotel across the street. Went out for dinner and I stumbled upon this little shop. It wasn't anything fancy or big crowd that attracted me, i was just feeling like having some noodle soup. When the dish came I was surprise by the generous portion of fish slices, fishball and prawns. It tasted great too !!

It's another bucket list of must try foods in Sabah. However, it's like hit or miss as I find the dry noodle tasteless but the fish slice was very fresh, thumbs up for that. Portion was big though, so it's worth for the price paid.

Incredible beef noodles! We were brought here by our local friends and this is a favorite among locals. The signature dish is amazing with a number of different beef parts in a light broth with lettuce and then you've got some accompanying noodles that have been tossed in soy. Noodles were very Al Dente and the chili sauce is top-notch! Then we also ordered a plate of the roast pork. The skin was so light and crispy and the under part seemed more smoked like a bacon or a ham as opposed to the traditional five spice powder and salt absolutely incredible! Came again the next day! Except this time for breakfast this time trying the fish noodles.

Every time I go to KK, I will eat here. And I go early to make sure I get to eat the best Yong Tau Foo in town. Sells out fast. Kuo Man has been around for yonks. I started dining here 36 years ago but no longer live in KK. The Lady Boss is older now with the next generation manning the counter. Give a thumbs up, if this post resonates with you.

I just love the old style buildings, people and food. With the old taste and uality of food, no doubt that they still serve the old taste as I had 30 years before. Trust me, you will find one dish you like there.

It was fate that led me to discover this restaurant. When I was taking a grab cab to the hotel, the driver told me this place is famous for its fish balls and beef offal noodles, since just right opposite the hotel, me & my husband decided give it a try. I ordered the pork offal noodles with added the yellow rice wine, it was the first time I'd had such a rich & flavourful yellow rice wine broth. They were so generous with the rice wine, even more than I’d use when cooking at home, so delicious! I’m already starting to miss it now that I’m back in KL. For yellow rice wine lovers definitely need to try this! My husband ordered the beef offal, which he really enjoyed. The meat was tender, though the soup was a bit milder compared to what we’re used to. The weather was so hot, I thought of ordering a chrysanthemum tea to cool down. But when the drink served , we were stunned and surprised , almost half cup of chrysanthemum and gave us a ”sieve” too! That’s unique!!! I was heard Ham jian bian is good too but personally I found it nothing special. As for the noodles, we found them nothing too special. However, the portions of the foods were large, easily enough for two people to share. They have many more choices of foods, definitely worth a try!

The seafood here is very fresh, and the roasted pork is also nice. The other dishes and noodles are just average. The noodles are charged separately, and the portion is quite large—2 to 3 people can share one serving.
